Student Representative Council
Hey guys, if
there is at all a part of the student hand book 2010 that you
should take seriously, this is it. We are your voice and we
can only be your voice if you make full use of us. Help us to
raise your concerns and matters with those concerned. However,
we aren’t only about problems! We’re also about solutions and
ideas. We want you the student, to help us bring the SRC to a
completely new level. But before you can actually start bring
your ideas and concerns before us, allow us to answer a few
frequently asked questions.
What is the SRC?
The
well thrown around term SRC, stands for “Student
Representative Council.” The keywords being “student
representative.” It is the council’s job to stand and
represent you the student, whenever the need arise. We are
there for you! We will provide leadership and coordination
wherever necessary. Each year, near the end of the academic
year, students elect a new council to represent them the
following year.
Who are the SRC

The SRC consists of eight members who are ready and
willing to work alongside you. Below you will find a brief
description of each individual’s portfolio.

Chairperson
Motobi is the Chairperson of the
SRC 2010. He is passionate about the college and about being a
voice for the student body. Together with the rest of the
council, it is his responsibility to be the students' voice,
your voice, with regards to anything you feel that needs to be
raised with the faculty. He will lead all student related
meetings. If you have any concerns related to college,
academic or otherwise, please do not hesitate to approach him
at college or contact him telephonically to discuss the
issues.

Vice-Chairperson
J.P will work closely with Motobi in his role. He will also
step in to care - take his role whenever he is unable to be
present. Like the rest of the SRC team, J.P is available at
all times to assist in whatever capacity in the student life
albeit pastorally, in prayer, advice (either personal or
college), and in any counselling issue that may arise. He will
also be involved in the Spiritual Life committee and urges
anyone interested in being part of it to contact him.

Khumbo is the lady who keeps us all to our word. She keeps
record of all the various SRC related meetings. She is in
charge of all SRC administrative related issues.

Public Relations Officer
Chad is the guy behind all inter-college activities and
college fundraising. Wherever the college is involved in a
specific event, Chad is the representative. Any notices that
are to be placed upon the SRC notice board are to go through
him.

Stephanie is the facilitator with regards to all mission
awareness within the college. She will co-ordinate outreach
initiatives.

Pauline is the representative from the SRC who is responsible
for facilitating worship to be held during chapel. She will
also provide leadership and facilitation to all creative
interests and programs which may arise from the student body.

participation or creative interests) should be directed to
Pauline. Your participation is greatly appreciated and
anticipated.
