GAP year: Monday to Friday, 08h30-15h00, OR

Evening class: 2 nights per week, Mondays and Thursdays,
18h00-21h00, 2 year cycle, commence any term.

Programme Specified Outcomes
The Certificate in Christian Ministry provides Christians
with a foundational, practical theological training to
equip and empower them to build God’s Kingdom in their
sphere of influence by:

Deepening
their relationship with the triune God and their trust
in Jesus Christ as saviour and friend.

Developing
creative and critical thinkers who are catalysts for
growth and renewal.

Developing
basic skills in reading the Bible and showing its
relevance to meeting pastoral needs in churches and
communities, especially in an African context.

Bringing
them to an understanding of how people’s worldview
influences their concept of God and practice of
spirituality.

Exposing
them to a variety of theological views in order to gain
a greater critical appreciation of their own.

Understanding
the basic principles of Christian leadership.

Enabling
them to minister to people in different cultural
contexts.

Developing
basic communication skills with groups and individuals.

Entering
tertiary education with the possibility of further
studies (modules can be credited towards our BTh
programme).
