Telling the Story of Cornerstone through YOUR STORY
JUNE 2008
Alumni of Cornerstone Institute/Cape
Evangelical Bible Institute
The year 2010 is a significant year in South Africa
with the World Soccer Cup in our country. It is also a significant year
for our College. The doors were opened as CEBI in 1970. The foundation
was laid. Now, as Cornerstone Institute, in 2010 we will be 40
years young.
I want the story of our college to be written down.
I would love to have it appear as more than an historical document. I
have a dream to see this story written though the stories of all of you
who have passed through the “doors” of this amazing college. I believe
that in your stories, the history and the heart of the college will
unfold and will be told. My dream and goal is to see a publication
appear as a coffee table book by 2010.
I need you to make
this happen.
How can your story can be a part of THE STORY OF CORNERSTONE
Step 1: Fill out the link “Keep us posted” at the bottom of
the page
Step 2: Answer the following 2 questions on one or two pages.
e-mail
to:
gustafm@mweb.co.za; or
cornerstone@cornerstone.org.za or
post to:
Alumni Stories, P.O Box 430, Plumstead, 7801, Cape Town, South Africa
1. What specific story/memory do you have while you
were a student at the college which has shaped your thinking and
life? (i.e. humorous, positive, negative)
2. How has being a student at the college as CEBI or
Cornerstone influenced you toward being effective in your present
occupation or ministry?
Who is invited to share their story?
Participation in this “story telling” project is open to any and all who
have been a part of Cape Evangelical Bible Institute and/or Cornerstone Institute. If you were a part time student, if you attended
Evening Classes, if you graduated, if you served on the Board of
Directors, if you have been on Staff or faculty, your story will be
welcomed.
When must your story be finished and sent in?
By
June of 2009
or sooner all our stories
should have been collected so THE STORY can be put together. Not
everyone’s story may appear in detail, but each one will be helpful in
the process of putting the story of our college together.
We are so keen to keep connected, whether you wish to
be a part of the CEBI/Cornerstone story or not. So please do click on “Keep
us Posted”.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Journeying together,
Margie Gustafson
